InstaFriday - On time!

Linking up again with Jeannett from Life Rearranged for InstaFriday.

It's a random assortment of iPhone pictures from the past week.... honestly though, about 80% of the pictures that I post are from my iPhone. It take such good photos, that I forget to carry around my big DSLR.... But anyway, here ya go:

Our good friends, Bethany and Chad, who were both in our wedding in August, are getting married in June! We're so thrilled that they asked Sam and I to be in their wedding as well!  This past weekend they threw an engagement party in Bethany's hometown, about 2 hours away from where we live. But since my parents were in town, we weren't able to come celebrate with them. So we wrapped up a special little gift in special engagement paper ;) and sent it over. Chinese Massage anyone??

Here's the fam on Campus at NAU. It had been a while since they had seen all the new things on Campus, so we went for a little walking tour.

Aren't these gorgeous!? I have no idea what kind of flower these are, and I never would have imagined that they would grow at this high altitude, but they are all over Campus! Does anyone know what they are? I want to plant some at my house next year.

After the fam left on Sunday morning, Sam and I hopped in the truck to go to Prescott, AZ where his parents live. Kona must have been exhausted from all the playing she did with her sister, Honey (my parents dog). She slept in my lap (not spoiled at all, I tell ya!) with her nose pressed against the AC vent...she's an odd one.

Back to work on Monday, Kona didn't want to get out of the car. Still recovering from the weekend, I suppose. She was soakin up the sun.

PS - check out my new purse! Dillards - it was on clearance PLUS an additional 40% off the clearance price! Now that's my kind of shopping!

Sam is heading out to go hunting again this weekend, I'll be joining up with him after work on Friday. But we slaved away in the kitchen Tuesday night preparing food so he doesn't starve out in the woods. We made cookies, hard boiled eggs, breakfast burritos, rigatoni, and peeled, chopped and sliced about 200 carrots. Ok maybe not 200, but enough to turn my hands orange.

I couldn't help but take a picture of this cute little guy! My Grandparents gave me a collection of cartoon character glasses when I got my own apartment, and they've traveled with my to this house now. Refreshing evening beverage: raspberry lemonade with some cranberry juice - that will wake up your taste buds.

Kona and I have been walking on Wednesday nights with our friend, Lani and Mac...Mac is the dog. Lani and I will both be bridesmaids in Bethany and Chad's wedding in June, and conveniently she lives right around the corner from me. It's been a great way to make a new friendship and wear out the dogs!

What does fall mean in your neck of the woods?

Here's our forecast for the week:

I can't believe it's already getting close to freezing here. Thank goodness for the lovely seat-heaters in my car! They do a wonderful job of keeping my buns nice and toasty.

Back in California, where my parents live, it's still pushing 90+! Fall hasn't found them yet. I'm a little jealous of that.

Here in Flagstaff, fall has officially arrived, which means chilly mornings, warm, breezy afternoons, and cuddly nights. I haven't opened our coat closet yet, but I have brought out boots, scarfs, and long sleeved shirts. It's beautiful outside in the afternoons, but my office is frigid inside!

But my all time favorite thing about fall is college hockey season! My younger brother (my only sibling) plays for the Northern Arizona University Ice Jacks. NAU's mascot is a lumberjack, so that's where they get the Ice Jacks from. If you are around Flagstaff, click the linked image below to see the schedule of games.

Flagstaff, AZ NAU IceJacks Hockey

Hockey has been a huge part of our lives, with Weston playing since his was 3...maybe 4 years old, there hasn't been a year in our lives without hockey games. This past weekend was the first home game of the season, so my parents drove out to come watch.

I apologize for the crummy phone pics, all zoomed in and blurry, but I didn't think to bring my camera.

In between periods, the fam and I had a little photo session in the stands:

Sam won't be happy that I posted that picture - I promise he doesn't normally look that crazy :) But it was really nice to have the whole family in the stands cheering Weston on, it reminded me of being young again, living with my parents, and being forced going to all of Weston's games.

Sorry Texas Tech, we kind of slaughtered you...Weston even made the first goal of the night! First goal of the season, actually! Go # 7!

That's what our weekend had in store for us. How about you? What's your go-to fall activity?

I'm linking up today with Lisa from Lisa Leonard Designs! Check out her blog and store for handmade jewelry made in my home county!
